On Wednesday, March 18th, we had a very special visitor at our kindergarten: dog Juul came to visit us for the dog diploma!
The children learned how to properly “read” a dog. We talked about which signals to look out for, how to recognize when a dog feels comfortable, and when it prefers to be left alone. The children also learned how to approach and pet a dog in a respectful and safe way.
Especially at a young age, early contact with dogs in a safe and guided environment is very important. It helps children reduce fear, build confidence, and learn how to interact with animals in a safe manner.
We would like to thank Juul for the wonderful visit and we are already looking forward to the next dog diploma! 🐾
